Welcome to the Minnesota, North and South Dakota Caravan home page!

All roads will lead to Bowling Green for the National Corvette Museum's 20th Anniversary Celebration from August 28 to 30, 2014. It seems like a ways away, but it will be upon us before we realize it. We invite you along to join the fun, excitement and experience to be part of one of the largest moving car events.

I'm pleased to have Owen Michelson ( OlMichelson@cableone.net ) back as the Co-Captain in charge of the North Dakota portion of the caravan. He was a key contributor in the success of the 2009 caravan. I'm still looking for help for the South Dakota portion of the caravan and local Minnesota help as well. If you are interested in helping out, please let me know.

We have worked up two preliminary routes for the 2014 Minnesota and Dakota's caravan. Our previous caravans have gone across Wisconsin and thru Illinois, so this is a new route.

The Dakota caravans will meet in Minneapolis on August 25th (Monday) and along with the Minnesota group will leave Tuesday morning the 26th. Our plan is to arrive at the NCM on Wednesday the 27th at about 5:00 PM. We will plan rest stops and secure hotels along the route and help with hotel rooms in Bowling Green.

First day:
Our caravan would leave Minneapolis en route to Iowa City, IA (35W South to I380.) We will contact Chevrolet Dealers along the way for stops and refreshments. We will leave Iowa City and either drive to Peoria or down to Hannibal, MO.

Second Day:
We will leave Peoria for Effingham, IL (Mid America) to Bowling Green, or drive from Hannibal through Saint Louis to Bowling Green.

We plan to run these routes over the next couple of summer to help finalize our caravan to the National Corvette Museum.

Early registration will start after Labor Day Celebration 2012. The registration has changed from 2009 with one (1) registration for each caravan participant, which will include $5.00 for the caravan and $0 for Lifetime member, $15.00 for Member and $25.00 for Non-member. There will be no tours listed at this time, but early registrants will be notified when the tours are listed and they will get first choice of the tours.

When we find out more information about the 20th anniversary event, we will let you know.
