Greetings from Oklahoma! Let me take a moment to introduce myself and my wife… I am Ike Dodrill and my wife of 45 years is Hazel. We have one adult son.
We have been Lifetime NCM members for 20+ years. I retired from Intel Corp in 2001 and still do some IT Consulting. Hazel works part time at our Church as the Treasurer. We own two Corvettes… a 66 BB coupe undergoing a resto-mod restoration and a 99 triple black vert.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Route & End-of-Caravan BanquetWe will be taking basically the same route as we did in 2014. This time we will forgo some of I-44 between OKC and Tulsa for Old Route 66.
Monday August 26th – Amarillo TX to OKC, OK (NC&HM lunch)
OKC to Tulsa (Hard Rock Casino overnight)
Tuesday August 27th – Tulsa to Springfield MO (lunch@ Houlihan’s)
Springfield to Cape Girardeau MO (overnight)
Wed August 28th – Cape Girardeau to Hopkinsville, KY (YOYO lunch)
Hopkinsville to Bowling Green (NCM arrival TBD)
Notice we have picked lunch locations for OKC and Springfield. We will dine as a group at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum at a cost of $21 per person for the tour and lunch. Folks joining us there can eat/tour with the group or just depart with us. We expect to be there for about 2 hours.
Group End-of-Caravan Banquet – Wednesday Aug 28th , 6:00pm – Mariah’s
Since the Museum is not having an “arrival” drive thru we thought it would be good to have our own End-of-Caravan event. This is optional and the expected meal cost is $30/person. Gary Cockreil has agreed to be our Guest Speaker. Mariah’s can handle 20-250 in their banquet room. Stay tuned for more details.
Pre Run #1 – April 2018
We ran the proposed route to the 2018 Bash with the Dobbins. Decided Rt 66 from OKC to Tulsa would work. Found some great eating in Springfield but not sure they can handle a large group. That is still TBD. We met with several members from the Corvettes of SE Missouri club in Cape G. See picture below.
And of course while there we had to sample some of the local cuisine. This little downtown Ice Crème shop is adjacent to an antique store. Great food and tons of interesting knickknacks to be had. So you have been warned.
I am in the process of getting contracts for room blocks at the Hard Rock Hotel and multiple hotels in Cape Girardeau. I do not have any rooms blocked in Bowling Green at this time as every hotel I have called is sold out. Stay tuned.
As in the past the NCM is offering Reserved Parking adjacent to the museum for use during the 25th Anniversary Celebration. We will raffle one space off selling tickets for $10 each. There are a limited number of these and to get one requires a minimum $500 donation to the NCM so $10 might end up being a great investment.
